Can Cook was set up in 2007 as a food organisation working with people living in South Liverpool who didn’t have basic cookery skills.
They have since provided around 13,000 people with cookery training, enabling them to prepare fresh meals. Following various approaches from care providers in different capacities, they ventured into catering and now provide a fresh food catering service for care and education settings across Merseyside. They specialise in catering for children and older people, and primarily provide services specific to these age groups.
At Can Cook, they believe that everybody should be able to access good fresh food; so they use their operations to tackle food poverty and create employment, donating fresh food to people in food crisis and creating living wage jobs along the way.
At Can Cook, they are committed to creating living wage jobs and providing a springboard for young people to launch their careers in catering.
